Pig’s Feet and Chitlins

Pig’s Feet and Chitlins

Under the supervision of a friend of Simple House, our new volunteers learned how to prepare pig’s feet and chitlins.

Chitterlings (chitlins) a traditionally southern culinary delight, are pig intestines which are seasoned and cooked for several hours until they are tender.  Most of us had never tried pig’s feet or chitlins before.  Though perhaps not appealing to everyone, all the volunteers at least sampled this unique meal and some enjoyed it so much they went back for seconds.
